I've started a series called 'How to (insert project here)...and Save the World'. When I post or feature projects that are upcycled/repurposed in nature, they will proudly carry this title so you quickly know that there are good things ahead - not only for you but for our planet! Check out the previous posts:

How to use wooden pallets and save the world
This post highlights a project I tackled on Mother's Day...and I had the most enjoyable day! You see, I have convinced myself that I cannot sew. Turns out...I CAN sew...just not very well. But my daughter doesn't seem to mind - and for that I'll be forever grateful!
Beware...if you CAN sew REALLY well, what you are about to see may be disturbing. So I ask for your forgiveness in advance.
If you can't sew, like me, I hope you will be inspired enough by this to give it (or something else) a try!
Well, there were several mistakes along the way...but I am thrilled with my 'not quite perfect but perfect for me!' summer dress for my little chica.
Until next time...
Michael
Mike, you did great! I'm super proud of you for giving it a go! :) Every mistake will teach you something for the next project, you'll just get better and better.

So cute! I found you through Tip Junkie, but I'll definitely be sticking around!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cute and sassy picture of your daughter. Reminds me of mine except now she is 13 and has the sassy mouth too. sigh! I can sew but I love all these easy blog ideas. What stitch gives the wavy effect? I love that. Lately all I do is sew pillows, but eons ago I did make a top with buttons and sections and even a collar. I kept it because I could say..at one time I did this. lol My daughter laughed at it but I think it was cute. It's funny cause I was here age when I made in back in ..cough cough 1975. Katharine
ReplyDeleteP.S. I love your saying How to ---- --- and Save the World. Wish I had thought of it.
