His name was John Steinberger - from Independence, Kansas, and his work really captured me. As it turns out I was able to obtain several pieces from him over the years - and even though the entire world didn't know it, they really lost a creative soul when he left.Blue Velvet Chairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07531328414271223717noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7218678013427074678.post-36196827180795037382011-10-16T23:18:47.904+02:002011-10-16T23:18:47.904+02:00Even though you didn't speak of them in this b...Even though you didn't speak of them in this blog...I absolutely love the art work hanging on your walls (behind your daughter in the tablecloth pic). You're way more creative than me, but I LOVE this post!Kellihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10141942386988135329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7218678013427074678.post-60095866674897913952011-05-26T04:36:34.171+02:002011-05-26T04:36:34.171+02:00thanks for your comments! i'm so glad you'...thanks for your comments! i'm so glad you're following! the lamp shade is made from the cheapest cloth i could find at the store.. it's just the standard, i have no clue what to call it, $2 a yard cloth haha i'm not good with technical terms. also, I sign God is Love, i just skip the spaces. but that's cool to know that Godis means candy!! can't wait to see your new posts! xoxMrs.Grinderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03968740652070014128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7218678013427074678.post-49034958758232184482011-05-25T22:21:02.247+02:002011-05-25T22:21:02.247+02:00I vote either red or mosaic for the mirror. I love your mosaics, but the lines in the vase are so nice it would be sad to lose them. I say a high-gloss cream. The milk bottles are too cool!! (I have to scroll back up to see what else I was going to comment on...) Oh yeah...THE DOLL!!! *shiver* Such a clever idea for the candle rings! I would have never thought to make them into a wreath, really fantastic!! Oh, and the candlesticks. I'm pretty sure it would work to just wash them with a grease cutting soap (dishsoap or paint prep soap), and then put a primer on them before you paint them. Might not work on a dresser or other furniture that you bang around every day, but lamps aren't usually handled too much so it should be fine. And lastly, what's the new store? You should come out this way sometime, I'll take you to the ones here. :)Marienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7218678013427074678.post-59566747796475675842011-05-25T02:10:42.353+02:002011-05-25T02:10:42.353+02:00I'm loving your finds!
